A Day Dedicated to the Family
The HELUKABEL summer party 2023 delights with a varied programme for young and old alike
Last Saturday HELUKABEL GmbH celebrated its summer party at its headquarters in Hemmingen under a bright blue sky and high summer temperatures. In addition to employees from all German locations, their families were also invited. In total, around 1,200 people were on the guest list - the largest celebration to date in the 45-year history of the company.
With a wide range of food and drinks as well as live music on stage, visitors could enjoy themselves under a large tent dome or in open air. A colourful animation programme with face painting, a handicraft workshop, a paddling pool and bouncy castles awaited the younger guests. Another highlight was the tour of HELUKABEL's state-of-the-art logistics centre: this also gave many relatives the rare chance to take an exciting look behind the scenes and examine impressive technology.
Hemmingen's mayor, Thomas Schäfer, was among the guests. In his speech, he paid tribute to company founder and managing director Helmut Luksch and his "Swabian entrepreneurship". Luksch, in turn, thanked his wife Heidi for her decades of support.
Together they founded HELUKABEL in 1978 and developed it into an internationally successful company that today has more than 2,200 employees with locations and subsidiaries all over the world.
Helmut Luksch handed over a symbolic "baton" – of course in the form of a cable - to his son Marc. With him, the next generation at HELUKABEL is already taking over responsibility for the company management. Marc Luksch congratulated the employees on the recent successes - in 2022, HELUKABEL had achieved a turnover of more than one billion euros for the first time - and motivated them to continue pulling together as a large family to be successful together.
Afterwards, there was much dancing and celebrating on the HELUKABEL premises until late in the evening. The response to the family party was extremely positive, both from the workforce and their relatives – an event to be repeated for sure!
